This series had me all in my feelings. Vin & Big Tah Tah were very strong characters and I admired their journey
I almost gave this book a lower rating. But I love that Vin and Tahli get back together. There was just too much up and down. Tahli was all over the place and it was driving me nuts. I had to put the book down twice and I almost cried twice. This one was emotionally exhausting. It was nice to see how Terran came to be but that’s not how I would like my last impression of The Hayes to be. Give me another Ocean City beach moment or some mushy blended family moment filled with love and passion. This was a lot. I was emotional. I must say that despite his mistakes, I’m Team Dalvin. I love him. I love how he loved his wife and children. I love how his mistakes were not intentional but mostly putting himself in situations that led to bad decisions or knee jerk reactions to things that happen to him when he’s overstimulated, like the death of his father and the loss of his child. I just love him. I love how human he is. How real he is. Perfectly imperfect.
The Fall 🪂 The Glide 🪂 The Impact 🪂 = The Healing 🪂
Really enjoyed this series as it came full circle and personified the art of love, patience and forgiveness 🪂 Tahli was involved in a bad car accident and Dali interrupted Vin’s dinner date with Bianca to inform him frantically. Dalvin arrives to hospital and takes over even though Tahli is engaged to Drew. We also get to see that Tahli still depends on Vin to be near, even when she’s trying to fight internally, he’s always just naturally been her safe space. Tahli really should have stayed single, however it appeared Drew didn’t mind being a placeholder. For her birthday party, Vin wasn’t invited, however got Robin Thicke to perform a song special to them. She got a private moment with him, but still held on to the hurt. Then they had another moment right after Lola passed. The passion ran deep and hurt people hurt people. Tahli slept with Vin, while engaged to Drew and even after Drew found out he still wanted to work it out with her, which hurt Vin. He finally felt like he needed to move on and started a friend affair with Bianca. Thru his therapy sessions with Larry and just Bianca’s presence and companionship, it really help him to heal. The house fire 🔥 was heartbreaking 💔 and you felt the true emotions of Tahli, as she knew then that their connection was like no other, and the thought of him not being on earth anymore, really pulled on her heart strings. At that moment, Drew let go and felt like he could no longer compete. Making strides in both , Dr. Larry suggested a family trip w/ no intimacy, only work on the communication. And even though the broke it, it was that realization that Vin made a decision to really let Tahli go and heal because he felt like he was destroying her. He also moved to LA. At that time Tahli really reflected and with the help of therapy truly was able to work on herself and healing. Tahli no longer liked the distance, because at the end of the day Dalvin was her safe space. And when he came home for the Christmas party, Doll saw the car rocking 😂😂😂 They both shared a love that was powerful and end up coming back to it after much time. Tahli surprised him and brought the family back to its origin in Malibu. They hadn’t said anything about remarrying, but both knew each other was their person. It was such a great series with all the feels 🥰
