Guacamole.. yeeesssss 👏🏾 such a good read, taking us back to the 90’s with this coming of age story.. Takerra Allen really has a way with words and makes you “feel”.. Amore losing her mom right after graduation and has to spend the summer before she goes off to Howard with her dad, who’s been pretty absent most of her life.. the only detail exciting about his situation is her cousin Tammy, whom she adores.. Tammy, a pretty girl and smart will be heading to Princeton.. both girls are excited to get to the “next level” the summer before college.. Amore meets Gabriel aka Guap, aka Guapo Guapo aka Guacamole, and falls head of heels for this street jack-boy.. while Tammy falls for Parish aka Piru, who is also in the street world and happened to have a past relationship with her older sister.. a lot happens during the summer, filled with pain, love and heartbreak.. such a good read
