Solid 3 âï¸
Classic McFadden, stupid people getting into very avoidable situations with just a little common sense. Another quick and easy read. Lots of plot holes that were confusing but still an enjoyable read. The plot twist was decent but left a lot of things unexplained and the motive was less than questionable.
I want to know more of âWarrensâ backstory though becuase that was entirely skipped over even though he couldâve make this whole book 10x more interesting.

Very disappointing and basic. I didn't expect the killer in the end so a nice twist, but I couldn't wait for it to end. Not one of her best works in my opinion.
I gave this 2 stars at first, but I think it's the worst thriller I've ever read, so I've revised to 1 star... I read The Inmate and really liked it, but honestly how unbelievable this was is making me rethink reading any more from McFadden.
