Men Without Women: Stories (Vintage International)

Across seven tales, Haruki Murakami brings his powers of observation to bear on the lives of men who, in their own ways, find themselves alone. Here are lovesick doctors, students, ex-boyfriends, actors, bartenders, and even Kafka’s Gregor Samsa, brought together to tell stories that speak to us all. In Men Without Women Murakami has crafted another contemporary classic, marked by the same wry humor and pathos that have defined his entire body of work.

enjoyable collection of short stories, some i liked more than others. the first story, drive my car, was probably my favorite. i enjoyed the prose in the last story, men without women. sometimes though i dont love murakami’s descriptions of certain things (re body parts) but i’m a prude so that’s probably why.
nice to listen to an audiobook again it’s been a while

One of my favorite books ever. I don't know how to describe it, it just touched my soul.
nothing extraordinary but oddly comforting all the same, it made me want to write and that is the highest compliment i can give to a book.
creative and quirky, yet thought provoking. Just what I expect from Murakami. This collection of short stories includes 'Drive my car' which was made into a Oscar winning movie recently.
Murakami’s writing style is what pulls me into these stories. He creates rich characters with a subtle humor that paints a soft smile on my face.
