I'm trying something new where I actuallly write reviews of the books I read so that I can remember why I rated them the way I did.
3.5 stars
I listened to this one and it was very cute! I loved that the FMC was a 38 year old single mom, and found that the minor characters (Loretta, her kids, her dates) were pretty well developed. This was a rare case where I found the insta-love aspect charming, and I always love a good enemies to lovers sitch. This was very light hearted (I shed no tears) and funny, I laughed out loud at some of the end of chapter google searches. I will continue reading whatever Sophie Cousens writes!

Read this book with two days! Which is a record for me! I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book as mush as I did! Very cute, funny at times, and Cousens wrote a way that made you forget how long you were reading! Definitely recommend to someone who wants a fun, light hearted read!
This was a fun read but a little predictable. I loved the easy read aspect and it was a funny book. I could tell from the beginning where the book was leading to the end. I would recommend this book for a date night with couch during a snowstorm!
I laughed, cried, was frustrated, and then was smiling so big while reading this—all the feels for a cozy rom com 🥰 I felt like Anna and I are kindred spirits. It was especially strong when her inner dialogue was shared or her random google searches lol. While this was a funny & sweet story, the real life tidbits made it well balanced & relatable—kids growing up & how hard that is to accept, the struggle of holding onto your identity while also being a good mother, how to pick yourself up after a setback, etc. I could go on and on, but I won’t. Just read the book, I think it’s enjoyable even if you don’t have a ton in common with the main characters. It’s well-written and witty. This will likely be in my top five books of 2025.
This book was such an easy read. I loved how light, funny and refreshing is was. It was sad nearing the ending knowing this wasn’t a series.
