Just Haven't Met You Yet

From the New York Times bestselling author of This Time Next Year comes a heartwarming and hilarious tale that asks: What if you picked up the wrong suitcase and fell head over heels for its mystery owner?
Hopeless romantic and lifestyle reporter Laura’s business trip to the Channel Islands isn’t off to a great start. After an embarrassing encounter with the most attractive man she’s ever seen in real life, she arrives at her hotel and realizes she’s grabbed the wrong suitcase from the airport. Her only consolation is its irresistible contents, each of which intrigues her more and more. The owner of this suitcase is clearly Laura’s dream man. Now, all she has to do is find him.
Besides, what are the odds that she’d find The One on the same island where her parents first met and fell in love, especially as she sets out to write an article about their romance? Commissioning surly cab driver Ted to ferry her around seems like her best bet in both tracking down the mystery suitcase owner and retracing her parents’ footsteps. But as Laura’s mystery man proves difficult to find—and as she uncovers family secrets—she may have to reimagine the life, and love, she always thought she wanted.

Relationship insights…
I absolutely love this book I love the quotes from The Tiger I also love that it gives you hope if you're single that there is somebody out there for you just take one day at a time. I want to live on Jersey Island
I personally breezed through this book. I have read 2 books by this author and have noticed a similar pattern of chasing after a dream vs seeing what's in your reality.
I really liked this one, it had some sweet messages, was pretty funny with light humor, and kept me rooting for certain characters. Overall I give it a nice 8/10
Laura goes to her boss’ staff meeting who demands better pieces from the staff when Laura tells her boss, Suki, about how her parents met and about the two halves. Everyone sighs lovingly and so Suki decides to let hopeless romantic Laura fly off to Jersey Island to retrace her late parent’s love story of how they met, for her broadcast “Meet Cutes.”
After flying to Jersey Island and getting her suitcase mixed up, so begins Laura’s fantasy and quest to find the owner of the suitcase she inadvertently picks up and thinks HE’s THE ONE! It’s just like her parents’ love story.
I think Laura is okay but it's the people she meets at Jersey Island that help her grow. I think of her as a banchan. It elevates the dish to become a more complete meal. That's how I see Laura. Yes, she does grow but it's because of the people around her. Suitcase man was adorable but my favorites are Gerry, Sandy, and Teddy. I even like Maddy Maude.
I was hoping for more but the scene-stealers are the relationship between Teddy and Gerry, and Annie and Alex.
