Final Girls: A Novel

THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER
“If you liked Gone Girl, you’ll like this.”—Stephen King
Ten years ago, six friends went on vacation. One made it out alive….
In that instant, college student Quincy Carpenter became a member of a very exclusive club—a group of survivors the press dubbed “The Final Girls”: Lisa, who lost nine sorority sisters to a college dropout's knife; Sam, who endured the Sack Man during her shift at the Nightlight Inn; and now Quincy, who ran bleeding through the woods to escape the massacre at Pine Cottage. Despite the media's attempts, the three girls have never met.
Now, Quincy is doing well—maybe even great, thanks to her Xanax prescription. She has a caring almost-fiancé; a popular baking blog; a beautiful apartment; and a therapeutic presence in Coop, the police officer who saved her life. Her mind won’t let her recall the events of that night; the past is in the past…until the first Final Girl is found dead in her bathtub and the second Final Girl appears on Quincy's doorstep.
Blowing through Quincy's life like a hurricane, Sam seems intent on making her relive the trauma of her ordeal. When disturbing details about Lisa's death emerge, Quincy desperately tries to unravel Sam's truths from her lies while evading both the police and bloodthirsty reporters. Quincy knows that in order to survive she has to remember what really happened at Pine Cottage.
Because the only thing worse than being a Final Girl is being a dead one.

Readers say *Final Girls* by Riley Sager is a suspenseful thriller with twists that keep some guessing, though opinions vary. Reviewers agree the paci...
I loved this book!! I read it one day!! A group of college students, a cabin in the woods, an insane asylum, selective amnesia, unlikely survivors, twisty plot, and chills right up to the end. Every bit as good as The Last Time I Lied. I can't wait to read Lock Every Door, coming out in July. Riley Sager is one of my favorite authors.
If I had a time machine, I would go back to before I read The Last Time I Lied and instead read this one first. This book had potential, but after reading TLTIL, this one was just disappointing. (I know there are better uses for a time machine, but this is my hypothetical moment and I can do what I want. Lol)
I just wish it had more of a twist, plus I wasn’t a huge fan of most of the characters. Just writing this review, I’m already over this book. I know it’ll end up being one of those books, that when I think back on it, I won’t remember what happened. It left me feeling it has the potential to be a forgettable book.

This was a roller coaster for me, and I hate roller coasters. I was excited to read another one of his books and it sounds so good! However, sometimes I wanted to give up and other times I was glad I didn't. Overall, it took me about until the very end to decide if I liked it or not. I did! Not a quick read for me but still good.
Enjoyed this immensely! Good psychological, thriller page-turner!
I think this was placed in the wrong genre because I was neither thrilled nor horrified. Did I really read the same book everyone else is giving 5 stars?
Relatively dull, very quick ending, weird character motivation, and a twist ending that left me feeling played. Cause where did it come from? Zero foreshadowing or motivation.
And amnesia? Really? (Annoying since I also read A Dark Dark Wood at the same time as this. Both main characters conveniently forgot who the killer was
