Brimstone (Deluxe Limited Edition) (Fae & Alchemy, 2)

This limited deluxe edition with metallic edges, gorgeous cover effects, designed endpapers, and a stamped foil case continues the epic story begun in runaway bestseller and global phenomenon Quicksilver.

Duty. Blood. Honor. Power.
Saeris Fane doesn't want power. The very last thing she needs is her name whispered on an entire court's lips, but now that she's been crowned queen of the Blood Court, she's discovering that a queen's life is not her own. A heavy weight rests upon her shoulders. Her ward--and her brother--need her back in her homeland...but the changes that have strengthened Saeris have also made her weak. Born under blazing suns, Saeris will surely die if she makes her way home through the Quicksilver. Which means that, once again, she must send someone else in her stead...

"Keep your mouth shut. Stick to the shadows. And for the love of all seven Gods, do NOT crack any jokes."

Kingfisher of the Ajun Gate has defeated armies and survived all manner of horrors, but traveling back to Zilvaren with Carrion Swift might just be the death of him. The male just will not shut up. Hidden dangers await them down the narrow alleyways of the Silver City. Unfolding secrets pose impossible threats. Fisher must wrangle the smuggler and accomplish his goals quickly if he wants to see his mate again.

A darkness falls across Yvelia. The realm and their friends are in danger. Together, Saeris and Fisher will pass through fire and brimstone to save them.

Brimstone is Book 2 in the Fae and Alchemy series by author Callie Hart. I honestly don’t know how I feel about this ending! 🤔 This book was 660 pages. 📑 In the end, I was literally thinking… Huh? Like what, like huh?! 🤬 What about this? 🤯 What happened with them? 😳 WTH does that mean? 😩 The spice was spicing… 🌶️ The vibes were sometimes vibing…. 🥰 other times confusing. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Lots of parts left me lost in the sauce! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ The ending… well… I’m still like… WHAT? WAIT? WHAT? 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️😱 I was so stinking excited to read Brimstome because I LOVED Quicksilver! But I didn’t LOVE Brimstone. It was just OKAY… Fave Characters: Carrion… enjoyed his character. ❤️ Onyx… my heart shattered. 💔 Archer… love this character ❤️ Favorite Quote: “We were separate beating chambers of the same heart now.” Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 4

It was very good book. better than the first one. I was transported to a different world. I didn’t want it to end. So much new information and so much detail in the writing that it felt like I was Saeris experiencing her emotions

This book was hard to rate. The first half was admittedly a little slow and didn’t hook me the same way Quicksilver did. But it definitely picked up in the second half, with the third act leaving MY JAW ON THE FLOOR AT EVERY TURN OF THE PAGE. That ending?! Holy gods. I need book 3 like I need AIR.

Five stars, no hesitation. Earlier I said Alchemised was my favorite book of 2025, and I still stand by that, with Metal Slinger sitting at number two. Well… not anymore. Brimstone has officially claimed the number two spot and shoved everything else down a notch. This is the second book after Quicksilver, and it did everything a sequel is supposed to do—and then some. I loved Quicksilver, but Brimstone really leveled up the entire world. The found family dynamic, the absolutely unhinged romance, and getting dual perspectives all the time made the story feel bigger and more emotional. It sincerely elevated the series in every way. The book is witty and daring, and it has trials—which I will always be a sucker for. Add in magical fantasy, different creatures, and nonstop chaos, and it was just ridiculously fun to read. The FMC is a complete badass, and the MMC is still amazing as usual. There were a few things that annoyed me, like the name change, but it ended up making sense, so I can’t even be that mad about it. I’m genuinely so excited for the next release, and I recommend this series 100 percent—just be warned, this book is definitely spicy.
