Did you find this book as engaging as the first book in the series, Quicksilver?
What did you think about the continued world-building in Brimstone? What did you think of the new realms? Of the "rot" and the sacrifices required to create brimstone?
In Brimstone we get a dual perspective. Did you enjoy getting to experience the events of the story from Fisher's point of view? What did it add to the story? How is his voice different from Saeris's?
What new understanding did you gain of Fisher? In what was did he show previously unexplored vulnerability?
Saeris is now half Fae and half vampire. How does her physical transformation impact mirror her mental and emotional transformation? How does she hold on to her humanity amidst all of this?
Saeris is thrust into a new role that she is unprepared for. How does she deal with it? What did you learn from her attempts to lead? What do you think of her as a ruler?
At heart however, Saeris is still a street rat. How does her impulsivity sometimes get her in trouble?
How did you feel about the pacing of the novel? Did you enjoy the sections of court intrigue and political maneuvering?
There are sections of Brimstone that are basically a buddy movie between Fisher and Carrion. Did you enjoy their push and pull (and reluctant friendship)?
Saeris and Fisher are (as we are repeatedly reminded) "mates." How does the concept of fate impact their romance? In what ways do they continue to choose one another even as they are god bound?
Brimstone is even spicier than Quicksilver. How did the physical scenes reflect everything else happening in the story? How did they move the plot forward and deepen Saeris and Fisher's connection? Or were they too much?
Discuss the theme of power in the book - who wields it, its impact on those who have or seek it, and what responsibilities it should entail.
What is the true cost of immortality? Would you ever want to be immortal?
The book explores the theme of sacrifice. What sacrifices do different characters in the novel make, and for what/whom?
What did you think of the explosive ending? Were you surprised? Outraged? Still processing?
What questions do you still have after the end of the novel?
Are you in for book 3? What are you hoping to see from the final book in the trilogy?
