City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments)

Clary, Alec, Magnus, Simon, and Izzy race against time to save Jace from Sebastian and Lilith in the “goth-and-glitter pleasure” (Kirkus Reviews) that’s the fifth book in the New York Times and internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series. City of Lost Souls is a Shadowhunters novel.
When Jace and Clary meet again, Clary is horrified to discover that the demon Lilith’s magic has bound her beloved Jace together with her evil brother, Sebastian, and that Jace has become a servant of evil. The Clave is out to destroy Sebastian, but there is no way to harm one boy without destroying the other.
As Alec, Magnus, Simon, and Isabelle wheedle and bargain with Seelies, demons, and the merciless Iron Sisters to try to save Jace, Clary plays a dangerous game of her own. The price of losing is not just her own life, but Jace’s soul. She’s willing to do anything for Jace, but can she still trust him? Or is he truly lost?

So beautiful. I think this is the best shadowhunter book I ever read. It was friggen amazing... I don't really know how else to explain it... I guess the circumstances, thrill, and setting were perfection. I loved it so much
While City of Fallen Angels just didn't feel right, it didn't seem to flow with the first three, I thought City of Lost Souls was back on track. I enjoyed this one, and now the wait begins for the next one!
This series stresses me out.
I'm going to have no emotions left.
