Barbarian Lover (Ice Planet Barbarians)
The third novel in the Ice Planet Barbarians series, an international publishing phenomenon--now in a special print edition with bonus materials and an exclusive epilogue! Kira plans on remaining single on this alien planet--she doesn't want a mate anyway. At least, that's what she tells herself. But when Aehako comes along, everything changes. . . . As one of the humans stranded on the ice planet, I should be happy that I have a new home. Human women are treasured here, and one alien in particular has made it clear that he's interested in me. It's hard to push away the sexy, flirtatious Aehako when I long to grab him by his horns and insist he take me to his furs. But I've got a terrible secret--a few of them, actually. I'm convinced that Aehako can never love me if he knows the full truth. More worryingly, the aliens who abducted me are back, and thanks to the translator in my ear, they can find me. My presence here endangers everyone . . . but can I give up my new life and the man I desire more than anything? And will he even want me if he knows my secrets?

This might be my most favorite that I have read in the series.
I love the dynamic, shy girl and popular/flirtatious alien boy lol
She is keeping a secret which keeps her from resonating with him. He is set on making her, his.
Their love story truly made me swoon the most in all three books.
I also love the nice chunk of history we get in this book
There is sooo much more background history that it alleviated some of my underlying questions. I feel way more confident in the setting of this story after reading Barbarian Lover.
Truly enjoyed this read!

Welcome to 2023, women love sex (with blue aliens) and all misogynists can get over it!
I knew I'd love Kira, she was always so grounded and easy-going. A high contrast against Liz, who just comes off really rude and stupid. The more we progress through these books, the less I like Georgie. She has become such a Vektal shill, anything he says goes. Whatever happened to her wanting the humans to have a voice?
Well anyways, we're all here for the smut, and now the plot and drama! So I'm loving watching all of the humans interact in different ways.
I find these books to be feminist, society is at a weird point in which being a "good feminist" woman is to work like you don't have kids, raise kids like you don't work, and be a strip dancer in the bedroom after a day of all that, cooking&cleaning. Or worse, really. These books are basically saying, fuck that.
Its telling readers that its alright to want a big strong man who wants to protect you, care for you and provide for you. Its okay to fall back into a traditional role (Georgie) or provide just like your man (Liz) or even better, have your little fairy-tale love story (Kira)
I know people are mad that the book ended up with Kira resonating but truth be told, this is what Kira wanted and was so sad about. That was Kiras choice, the book established this throughout in many occasions. Kira chose Aehako, even without a resonance. Its quite beautiful how they knew they were meant for each other even without a dancing Khui.
These books are fun, addicting and sexy.
