Barbarian Alien (Ice Planet Barbarians)
The second novel in the Ice Planet Barbarians series, the international publishing phenomenon--now in a special print edition with bonus materials and an exclusive epilogue! Liz Cramer swears she'll find a way off of this alien planet she's stuck on--then she meets Raahosh, the surliest and stubbornest alien, who won't leave her alone, and she just might be okay with that... Twelve humans are left stranded on a wintry alien planet. I'm one of them. Yay, me.
In order to survive, we have to take on a symbiont that wants to rewire our bodies to live in this brutal place. I like to call it a "cootie." And my cootie's a jerk, because it also thinks I'm the mate to the biggest, grumpiest alien of the bunch. Raahosh believes the cootie's right, so he steals me away from the group, determined to make me fall for him--or else. He has no idea who he's up against. And if I didn't want his insufferable self so much (thanks, cootie), I'd let him know exactly what I'm thinking. As it is, I'm doing my best to fight this instant attraction. Just because the symbiont thinks we're supposed to be together doesn't mean I have to go along with it. And if we fool around a little, it's merely biology. It doesn't mean I'm in love--or that I'm destined to be his.

Definitely Good read. For half the book I was a bit irritated at Liz & Rahosh’s relationship😂 but in the end it ended well. Exactly how I was hoping for them!
@ All the angry men in the reviews, its 2023 and women are allowed to love sex, barbarian blue alien men included! Take your misogyny elsewhere.
These books are addictive, this one was just funny. Lots of good smut and cozying up, I like Rahoosh quite a lot and his backstory. I found this book to have more plot than the first one, as well as more action. I like Liz&Rahoosh much more than Georgie&Vektal. I found Vektal irritating on this book, and a little hypocritical. I also didn't like how Georgie acted all "whatever the man says!" lol, it was cringe to read about.
For all of the preaching from Georgie about different cultures, she certainly try to advocate for human culture and her own girls. Quite a leader we got here. I liked Liz's continuous rebellion towards everything, and her questioning/refusal to conform. I was finding most of her lines rude and comical, up til one:
"I don't speak Na'vi" ... Really? Thats so culturally insensitive, even in a whole fictional world. It came off very 'stupid white girl' like, and priviledged. I think the author could've really done without that line.
That scene bothered me a lot because I'm ESL. The rest of the book I found, was entertaining and stimulating. I have a feeling the more I read these books, the more I'll enjoy them.
