💞 Welcome to Between the Tropes!

We’re so excited to have new faces joining us—whether you’ve been reading romance since birth or you’re just testing the tropey waters, you’re in the right place. 💗

Founded by romance bookstagrammer All in with A, Between the Tropes started as a way to bring together romance-loving humans in the Raleigh-Durham area—and has since grown into a joyful, welcoming community of readers and friends.

📚 How It Works:

🌟 General Meetings

We meet once a month at 7 PM, typically at a local coffee shop, restaurant, or brewery—unless someone offers to host at home!

At each meeting, anyone can pitch a romance (or romance-adjacent) book, and the group votes on what we’ll read next.

👯‍♀️ Small Group Meetups – Amelia’s Faves

In addition to our main meeting, we host a cozy bonus night at Amelia’s house. While we love our group picks, this smaller gathering is a chance to explore one of Amelia’s personal favorite reads—often lesser-known gems that didn’t make the vote, but totally deserve their moment.

🧳 Retreats & Girls’ Trips

We plan 3–4 retreats or girls' trips per year! Destinations and price points vary to keep things accessible. You’re never obligated, but always welcome. Past trips have included mountain cabins, beach weekends, and festive holiday outings.

🎉 Social Events

From wine nights to holiday parties to spontaneous hangs, we also host regular social events to build connection beyond the page.
