Under the Moontower

SECURITY NOTE: Organizers will never contact anyone using a private email, such as moontowerscififantasyclub (that one is a known BAD ACTOR) or any other gmail account. Do not interact with messages that are not sent through the Bookclubs.com platform. We do not spotlight authors and we never ask folks to pay for the club or perks. Be cautious out there, folks!

There are a lot of sci-fi and fantasy clubs, but this one is specifically for fems and thems (but open to all friendly folx and allies) who love science fiction, fantasy, gaming, and more geeky goodness. Engage in conversation about creative works and activities with others who share a common interest in things like parallel worlds, speculative futures and alternative histories.

While we started in 2018 as a book club, we have since branched out into a variety of fun stuff. There's a monthly book club, but also a discord with opportunities for things like watch-alongs and extended discussion with new friends. We are intentional about the spaces we create and the media we share, with a focus on reading books, playing games, and featuring discussions on underrepresented creators and characters. We welcome anyone who wants to share more media created by women, LGBTQ+ folx, and authors who are Black, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Latinx, and international authors who expand our perspectives beyond our headquarter state of Texas.

Our organizers set the intention of making every event a safe space for people to share and be themselves. All are welcome to come and geek out with us!
