About Think Outside the Box: Mainstream Narrative Resisters Book Club
The "Think Outside the Box: Mainstream Narrative Resisters" Book Club is a virtual/online book discussion club for those who are either literally home-bound for whatever reason (whether completely home-bound or predominantly home-bound, like me!) OR even if not technically home-bound, still prefer to hang out at home, and read and be able to discuss them with others, hopefully from all over the world, all from home.
This book club is for anyone & everyone open-minded enough to be willing to read and discuss books written by whistleblowers, dissidents, revolutionaries, and any others who "think outside the box" and speak out against the establishment — even to the point that their books/work (or even themselves!) have been/are being "canceled", attacked, slandered, the subject of "hit piece" hatchet-job media articles that brands (and dismisses!) their work as "conspiracy theory", or "anti-science"/"pseudo-science", "quackery", anti-American and similar baseless ad-hominem insults.
As the "Think Outside the Box: Mainstream Narrative Resisters" Book Club is brand-new, I'll choose the first couple/few books for us to start off with while this club is getting off the ground. But once the club has gotten at least a few members (who are all free to make suggestions of which books to read!), we can either vote on the choices and/or take turns each month with every member getting a chance to pick a book to read & discuss each meeting. Same thing goes for discussing what day(s) and time(s) for meetings are best for everyone and how often to meet.
In this club. we are open to reading books from a wide variety of authors of any & all ethnicities, races, religions, gender & sexual identities, and disabilities — and the ONLY criteria for the inclusion of books for reading & discussion at our meetings is that the book (which is preferably written by whistleblowers, or dissidents, or revolutionaries or others who are targeted by the establishment) MUST challenge mainstream narratives, attitudes, ideas & theories whether in politics, healthcare, science, education, history, economics, parenting/family or other areas. Some examples of books of this nature would be, those written by Edward Snowden or Julian Assange, as well as books like "Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling" and "Weapons of Mass Instruction" by John Taylor Gatto, or "The Panama Papers: Breaking the Story of How the Rich and Powerful Hide Their Money" by Bastian Obermayer & Frederik Obermaier or "America: Freedom to Fascism" by the late Aaron Russo.
If this sounds good to you, and you have no objections to reading books that the status quo writes/has written off as "woo-woo", or "conspiracy theory" or whatever else, just because it questions the deep-rooted & ingrained beliefs & perspectives that have become the de-facto foundation of society...................then then kick off your shoes, change into some comfy PJs or loungewear & cozy slippers, get yourself a nice cold (or hot, as you prefer!) beverage & some yummy snacks, grab a cuddly blanket or throw, and snuggle in on the sofa, in a comfortable chair or in bed under the covers and JOIN US for a variety of eye-opening reads and discussions with others who don't blindly buy into the corporate-funded propaganda narratives that are peddled in the mainstream media!
