Welcome to The Dark & Dirty Society, a gathering place for readers who prefer their romance intense, twisted, morally questionable, or downright unhinged. We explore all sub-genres of Dark Romance: gothic, mafia, paranormal, psychological, taboo, fantasy, morally gray, villain love stories, and everything deliciously dark in between.

🖤 Virtual Meetups (For Now)
At this time, The Dark & Dirty Society is primarily virtual.
We meet once a month for a live virtual discussion — cameras optional, drinks encouraged, pajamas absolutely welcome. Come to gush, rant, analyze, spiral, or simply lurk with vibes.
As the Society grows, we may add an additional virtual meetup each month to give members more chances to join the chaos. And if we gather enough local members in the Kennesaw, GA area, we may also host occasional in-person, in-season meetups.
We’re starting intentionally and keeping things intimate — quality chaos over quantity.

🖤 How Book Selection & Meetups Work
Each month, The Dark & Dirty Society selects one Dark Romance book to read and discuss together.
The monthly theme is chosen by member poll to keep things fresh and deliciously unhinged.
Examples:
• November: Mafia
• December: Stalker Romance (for a festive sprinkle of obsession)
Once the theme is chosen, we vote via member poll, on one book from that subgenre and spend the month enjoying it at our own pace before gathering for a virtual discussion.
This setup keeps things flexible and low-pressure — perfect for busy schedules, mood readers, and anyone trying to survive their ever-growing TBR.

🖤 Membership Contribution (Future)
A small annual membership contribution may be introduced at a later date to help cover club costs, which can be hefty.
IF applied, the fee will always be kept very low, fully transparent, and used solely to sustain the club — never for profit.
Members will always be notified well in advance should we come to that.
