Looking for a peaceful way to unwind and connect with fellow readers in St. Paul? The Silent Book Club (SBC) is the perfect space for you! Whether you’re an avid reader or simply enjoy the cozy comfort of a good book, our monthly gatherings offer a unique, stress-free experience for people of all reading habits.

How it Works

When you arrive, look for one of our co-hosts and an area to sign in, grab a drink and/or snack, and immerse yourself in a quiet hour of reading for the first hour, with an optional social hour following. Feel free to mingle and meet new people if you're up for it, but it's completely up to you!

There’s no required reading—just bring a book you’re currently enjoying (or one you’ve been meaning to start) and dive into some quiet, communal reading time.

SBC is a low-pressure, low-commitment way to meet new people, discover new books, and embrace the joy of reading without the distractions of our busy lives (looking at you, smart phones). Whether you're reading fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, or poetry and physical, eBook, or audiobooks, everyone is welcome to participate at their own pace.

In 2026 we will have 2 standing meeting times each month to maximize participation for our members!

First Wednesday of the month

Where: The Lost Fox - 213 4th Street in St. Paul

When: 7-9pm

Third Sunday of the month

Where: Dogwood Coffee Cafe - 2700 University Ave W in St. Paul

When: 2-4pm
