Nextdoor Book Nook

Although we started as strangers connected by the Next Door app, we are now meeting monthly to celebrate our love of reading.  We look forward to more people joining our small group.

We tend to prefer thrillers and mysteries but we also try other genres. Currently, we are choosing books by voting - either in person where only those attending get a vote OR an online vote. We pick 2 books each month so you can read one or both. Typically, one is the main pick with a secondary choice for more prolific readers.

Recommendations encouraged.

We meet in person on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm, typically at coffee shops in Pickering or Ajax. We do not meet on weekends. As a result, participants need to be available during the day.

We talk about the current book but we also like to discuss others books we have read. All book talk welcome.

We encourage everyone to participate by attending meetings (please RSVP) sending/responding to emails, sharing book related information like sales or author events and answering polls.
