Nextdoor Book Nook

We are a group that loves to read and wanted to talk to others who share our interest. We were strangers connected by the Nextdoor app.

We have evolved. We encourage everyone to participate by sending/responding to emails, answering polls and as often as possible attend meetings (usually once per month and often via zoom). We try to choose books and plan the next meeting as a group. It works since we are small. Our preferred genre is thriller or mystery.

Admittedly, we don't always read the suggested book but we also like to discuss what has been read over the past month, whether or not you liked it, what would you recommend, etc. There is no need to be shy.

Our meetings are a combination of virtual (especially colder weather months) and in person (subject to participant's availability). We typically meet at coffee shops in Pickering or Ajax.
