Welcome to the Raleigh Murderinos Book Club!

We’re a group for curious, thoughtful readers who want great stories without feeling overwhelmed. We meet in person once a month to read, discuss, and bond over books worth talking about.

Our selections center authors who are women and people of color, bringing forward voices and perspectives that deserve more space on your shelf—and in your conversations. While we love a good twist (and we really love a good murder mystery), we keep things fresh with themed months throughout the year—romantic picks in February, spooky reads in October, and cozy holiday stories in December. We also mix in the occasional standout nonfiction read and feature international titles to broaden our perspective.

We keep our books approachable: usually under 500 pages, easy to find at the library—so no one is stuck on a waitlist while the discussion moves ahead. And we don't mind if you didn't get to read the WHOLE book (it happens to all of us sometimes).

This is a book club for people who love a strong plot, memorable characters, and conversations that go a little deeper. Come for the mystery, stay for the perspective—and leave with a longer to-be-read list than you came with.
