About Literally Thinking
Brilliant nonfiction transports us to unfamiliar places, unexpected eras, and compelling ideas. The best nonfiction is so vivid that it can feel like fiction—yet it deepens our understanding of the world.
Literally Thinking is for readers who enjoy learning new subjects, revisiting familiar ones, and exchanging ideas in a relaxed, thoughtful setting.
We meet at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month. At each meeting, we first select the book for two months ahead by general consensus. We then discuss that evening’s book, followed by an open conversation about whatever topics happen to be timely or intriguing.
Our group has been active for about five years. Some members attend regularly; others join when a particular book speaks to them—both patterns are welcome.
Light refreshments are usually provided, and you’re encouraged to bring something you enjoy (and perhaps a little extra to share). Meetings typically wrap up by 9:30 PM.
NEW MEMBERS
We meet monthly at my home Irvington. Since we gather in my private residence, I want to connect with new members before the first meeting. Please message me through Bookclubs or my email when you plan to attend so I can share location details and further discuss the group.
