About Jungian Studies for Neurodivergents

A low-stakes way to engage with other Jungians (or casual readers) on serious material. To participate, you need not be an analyst, a therapist, or a scholar. And no need to mask- just bring a strong interest in the material.

This group is meant to promote structure, motivation, timeliness, completion and social connection for anyone who wants to participate. You do not need to be neurodivergent to be a member, but we ask that you recognize this space as one where these differences are prioritized.

We will read fairly potent material on a weekly basis. The pace of the club is meant to support regular, engaged study of what may be challenging material and so discussion of material will be short highlights of what was most impactful- a sharing of a passage that was meaningful to each reader, or a summary of their experience of the reading.

If a member joins in with a book meeting and finds that they are falling off with the reading, there are a few ways that this club aims to support them.

Communication about difficulties are welcome and appreciated. It may be possible that if there are two or more members who need a slower pace, that smaller groups or pairs may form to slow the pace of the reading. In such an instance, the faster paced reading group would continue as well. Body-doubling sessions and groups with as few as two members may continue to work together on the material, whether reading faster or slower. If group members want to reconvene as a larger group to share reading experiences this can be opted for after the slower group finishes.

Generally, this club will expect to meet with a small number of members, due to non-mainstream material that won't draw a huge crowd, and also as members may find it more supportive to meet in small groups or pairings.

I, the current organizer, am a therapist, but I am not your therapist, and this is in no way a therapy, consultation, or supervision group. Additional organizers may volunteer. As mentioned previously, there is absolutely no need to be involved with Jungian psychology by trade.

Meeting online, weekly or biweekly (to poll). Authors to include: Carl Jung, Marie-Louise von Franz, Edward Edinger, Barbara Hannah, Robert Moore, Nathan Schwartz-Salant, and many others. Submit interest!
