About Friends, Books & Fun!
There’s truly nothing like the magic of friends, a great book, and shared laughter!
-Friends, Books & Fun! We held our first official meeting on April 13th, diving into This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger. That lively afternoon set the stage for what we are today: a community dedicated to great books and even better company.
-Our Philosophy: Connection Over Curriculum: Friendship and camaraderie are our primary goals. We are a casual book club, not an academic study group, and our main draw is social interaction.
Our group’s relaxed atmosphere, diverse membership, and varied viewpoints spark stimulating discussions. Whether you finished the book, just started it, or didn't get to it at all, you are welcome! In our group, every voice is valued.
-Your Participation, Your Way: Some of our attendees are quiet, while others are very talkative. No Pressure: Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts; however, there is no obligation to speak. Those who prefer to listen are valued members of the group.
-Join Our Next Meeting: We would love to see you there! We gather monthly to explore stories handpicked by our members.
- June 10th, First Lie Wins
- July 8th, A Fall of Marigolds
- August 12th, The Muse
- When: The second Wednesday of each month.
- Time: 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm.
- Location: Brandywine Hundred Library 1300 Foulk Rd 19803
- Finding Us: We meet in the conference rooms on the second floor. Check the electronic board for our room, it's to the right of the entrance to the hallway that leads to the conference rooms.
Everyone is invited to attend. Just hop in whenever a book catches your eye! And while an RSVP is appreciated, it isn't necessary to join the conversation!
