Church Mother Terri's Book Club

I am delighted to introduce you to Church Mother Terri’s Quiet Time Book Club, a Virtual Christian women’s reading fellowship for Christian Women. We are more than just a Book Club!

My name is Terri Smalls, also known as Church Mother Terri. I am a writer, author, and workshop facilitator with more than a decade of experience serving in ministry and encouraging women through faith-based outreach. I previously stewarded the women’s ministry Powerful Praying Women for over a decade, and I continue to use my love for writing, prayer, and encouragement to help women grow in their relationship with God. About the Book Club

We are a virtual fellowship that meets every other Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We start on Saturday, Nov. 14th 2026. Our annual book club dues are $20.00 per year. Women are invited to bring their own chosen Christian reading material, whether it is a devotional, Christian book, Bible study, biography, faith-based novel, or the Bible itself. Our gatherings begin with a greeting, a scripture reading, ice breaker and prayer. We then enjoy an hour of quiet reading, allowing each participant to focus on the material she has chosen. We conclude with an opportunity for a few participants to share what they have been reading and how God has used that time to encourage, teach, or minister to them, followed by a closing prayer. We even schedule a monthly one hour meet and greet for new members. It will take place on a weekday evening. All are welcome to attend. We don't want to be a group of strangers. We also plan to have at least two in person fellowships events per year (In person events may require a fee).

This is more than a book club. It is an opportunity to pause from the busyness of everyday life, make room for quiet time with God, and experience the encouragement of a community of women who value faith, fellowship, and personal spiritual growth.
