Booked till August

Booked Till August was created by Kenya Kirkman, founder of 18 August Ave, a Brooklyn-based children’s bookstore rooted in literacy, wellness, and community. 

Booked Till August was designed specifically for parents, guardians, and adults who are building homes, raising children, or pouring into young people (including educators), wearing multiple hats, and longing for thoughtful conversation and creative rest. This club is a space to unwind, engage deeply with books, and connect with other adults who believe reading is both personal and powerful.

Participation is what makes Booked Till August meaningful the more you show up, share, and engage, the richer the experience becomes for everyone.

Each month includes a mid-month Zoom check-in to reflect and reconnect, followed by our in-person gathering on the fourth Sunday of the month, where conversation comes to life.
