Ward D by Freida McFadden was definitely an entertaining read that kept me turning the pages. I didn’t predict the twist at all, which made for a fun surprise. That said, it didn’t leave a huge impression—it was a solid thriller, but not one I’d rave about. If you’re looking for a quick, twisty escape that doesn’t require too much emotional investment, this one fits the bill. The setting of the psychiatric ward added a creepy, claustrophobic feel that worked well, and I appreciated how fast-paced the story was. While the characters weren’t super deep, the suspense kept me engaged the whole way through. Freida’s books are always a reliable go-to when I want something shocking and easy to fly through.

I am absolutely terrible at predicting the endings to books like this. Every time I think I know what is going on, nope. This was a fun story about one med students night studying patients in the psych ward. Already nervous about staying the night, Amy starts interviewing patients and begins believing them when they say that they’re going to be killed that night. Are the patients really crazy? Is she crazy? Why is her childhood bff one of the patients? Is that blood in the floor? 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s
