Vow of Thieves
is the thrilling sequel to Dance of Thieves, set in the same world as Mary E. Pearson's New York Times-bestselling Remnant Chronicles.

Kazi and Jase have survived, stronger and more in love than ever. Their new life now lies before them—the Ballengers will be outlaws no longer, Tor's Watch will be a kingdom, and Kazi and Jase will meet all challenges side by side, together at last.

But an ominous warning mars their journey back, and they soon find themselves captured in a tangled web of deceit woven by their greatest enemies and unlikeliest allies, a place where betrayals run deeper and more deadly than either had thought possible, and where timeless ambitions threaten to destroy them both.

Deceit continues as K+J find a way to save their family and write their history.

✨ I find it rare for a sequel to outrank the first, but this book is one of those rare cases! This book is another beautifully written story that had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happen next.

✨ The characters continued to develop and the romance had my heart soaring. In this story, we continue to follow the dual point of views of Kazi and Jase as they fight for their home, family, and each other.

✨ The love that they have for each other felt so real and it never angered me like so many other fantasy couples do.

✨ I was truly surprised by many of the plot twists and the villain(s) were well written. In addition to this, Kazi’s past continues to play a vital role in her character development throughout the book.

✨ I am sad that this is only a duology, but am thankful that I stumbled upon it!

What a great conclusion to this duology. I know with a lot of "enemies-to-lovers" stories that are continued, there's continued betrayal and all that, and I really appreciate that this book didn't go there. While they were separated for most of the book, there was no love lost and they were just as in love as they were at the end of the last book. It made me all gooey and mushy inside whenever they were together. I won't spoil it, but there was definitely a particular John Mulaney meme that popped into my head during a specific part of this book and I was HERE for it. I was already convinced that I should read more by this author based just on the first book, but now I'm more convinced I need to read more from her!

Loved every second, but it gave me a heart attack every other page.
