I loved this book. It gives me Carve the Mark vibes but much deeper. The character conflict, the politics, the romance, the entire layout of this book is fantastic.

I wasn't sure about this book originally. I kept having to force myself to read it, especially since I don't like to DNF books. I thought I couldn't get into this book because I hadn't read The Remnant Chronicles, but I'm glad I continued. It turned out to be a really great book and I think I was able to know the characters just fine without reading that series. I am excited for the next one.

I DON’T KNOW!!!!

I really really was into this book at first & never had a point where I wasn’t, but I put it down so easily & never had the urge to pick it back up. When I did pick it back up finally, it seemed dull & confusing. Maybe it was just me?
I loved Jase & Kazi’s enemies to lovers typa love & how it wasn’t like every other love story that follows the same trope. I’d be excited to see what happens between them & their worlds in the next book… Maybe have to reread!
For now, 3.5 stars
