Better and more development from the last book. We really get more in depth on the history of Kade and Stacey. I still find Kade a bit angsty and just mind of a door knob sometimes. He just reacts with no thoughts but he is supposed to be this amazing assassin? Stacey is a little of.... both under and overwhelming at the same time? Underwhelming when its important to just get it off her chest and overwhelming when she over EXPLAINS EVERYTHING. At points, I just want her to shut up and move on.

I liked it but I wasn’t as throw into it as the first one. It wasn’t until the end of the book where I was like “I need the next one immediately”. Maybe that was the secret plan of Leigh Rivers
