Insatiable (The Edge of Darkness: Book 1) (The Edge of Darkness Trilogy)

IF HE CAN'T HAVE HER, NO ONE ELSE CAN
Kade Mitchell is obsessed with someone he despises.
A snake in an angel's skin, Stacey Rhodes is everything he can't forget - the girl who shattered his heart and drove him deep into the darkness of the underworld.
He watched her for years. Killed anyone who came close to her. But now, granted a brief moment of freedom from the life he's trapped in, he's back home and driven to claim her again, breaking every rule he's ever made for himself.
Not even his hatred can stop the pull between them.
But he'll never forgive her... will he?

Would I read this and enjoy it? Probably not. Did I audiobook it and enjoy it? Absolutely.
Angsty young man falls head over heels but due to his genetically inherited inability to have a civil conversation about emotions and understand them, we took a hard left turn. On the flip side we have a hopeless damsel in distress that over explains to anyone and everyone BUT the man she is in love with and refuses to just to say it. She has to have 110% of your undivided attention to apparently say anything important. Go figure.
Immature, awful.
Nice one

4.5 ⭐️’s. There was nothing about it I disliked.
18yo Kade has his heart broken by his first love and sister’s bff, Stacey. He can’t escape her friendship with his sister so he resorts to stalking her and scaring off her potential suitors instead while simultaneously living a double life as an assassin and sex slave to his b!+ch of a boss who threatens to have his friends and family killed if he refuses her anything. Whew.
Kade and Stacey’s love story is sweet and feels like a true first love. And the side characters bring real friend and/or villain vibes.
The book ends on a cliffhanger and I’m excited to read book 2.
