I only really read this book becuase I heard I had to before I could read Five Brothers. The spice may have been enjoyable, but the overall bully romance vibe and the plot were lacking. It was very long and repetitive. It was also difficult to relate to anyone other than Liv, who is probably the only redeemable character, but who is also a complete doormat throughout probably the entire story.
This is a great bully romance!
Clay is the mean, rich girl who has bullied Olivia, the poor girl from the wrong side of the tracks, through their entire high school life but it turns out Clay is secretly in love with her.
There is very little spice, so I'm giving it 🌶1/5 chilis on the spicy scale. Very slow burn.
The end of the book is fantastic, Olivia never backs down and at prom changes the relationship they've built in secret to a public one by buying Clay a tux to wear and they debut together as a couple.
It has an HEA and an epilogue that is 4 years out in the future but is not super informative.
I listened to the audiobook, its duel narration, 2 POVs, 2 narrators, first person.
