кто не рыдал на последней главе, у того сердца нет

Oh my. It's been almost 48 hourse since I finished this book but I'm still emotional (even if I knew how this will end the moment they called Sasha "Peresvet" in the previous book).

Other things happened, too. Vasilisa has grown so much as a character and accepted her nature. Morozko discovered his humanity. The Bear gained so much personality! And is it just me or was that sex scene completely unexpected??? I also wish we learned more about Baba Yaga and Chernomor's relationship - seriously, what happened there?

The only little thing that bothered me a tiny bit is that bagiennik is a Polish water spirit, not Russian. I wouldn't mentioned it for any other writer (khe-khe, Leigh Bardugo) but Katherine Arden has a good reputation among us Russians for her research skills.

And yeah, I totally cried at the end when Solovey came back to life - some will call it cheesy and cheap I think, but c'mon, girl just lost her brother, give her back that damn horse!

I quit like three other books I was half-reading when this one came through on my library list, and it was well worth it. This entire series was so satisfying and I am happy to add Ms. Arden to my read-everything list.
