⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5 stars)
The Wife Upstairs gave me major Verity by Colleen Hoover vibes — dark secrets, a twisted marriage, and a wife whose story isn’t what it seems. Frieda McFadden kept me turning pages with her trademark short chapters and tension, but I couldn’t help feeling like I’d read a very similar story before. While the twists were engaging and the pacing fast, the similarities to Verity made it a little predictable at times. Still, if you enjoy domestic thrillers with unreliable narrators and shocking reveals, this is definitely worth the read!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this was literally Verity. There were a couple twists but nothing that gave the book a wow factor. No one was really likable and it kinda ended pretty flat. I gave it an extra star for being a page turner.
It was average. I saw the plot twist coming. It was very similar to Colleen Hoover Verity so I lost interest
It was a good book, with okay twists. It is very similar to the book Verity by Colleen Hoover.
