The Wife Between Us: The First Four Chapters

I've been reading a lot of really fabulous but really heavy books. I have been needing some lighters reads. Unfortunately lighter reads are often more hit our miss for me. This one was a real disappointment. In it's attempt to have lots of twists and turns out just became too melodramatic. Too much.

WOW, WOW, WOW This was such a great suspenseful book. I didn't want to stop listing to this book. I was completely thrown by the first twist! I had called the very last twist. I loved that there was a twist that was revealed pretty early on in the book and one that was not revealed until the very, very end, with plenty more twists in the middle.

Holy mother of all plot twist!

It was a bit slow and felt disconnected, with several messy details. As the story progressed all the dots connected I learned to be a bit patient again with stories.

But damn that epilogue! Bruhhhhhhhhh

What this taught me: Be patient with stories, and trust that mundane details can be quite important later on.

Greer Hendricks had become an author I look for now. This is quite the thriller and suspense fix!
