It was pure fluff but I but I needed something that was a good counterpart for the previous book that I read which is LA confidential series book 1: The Black Dahlia.
Boy meets girl in elevator. Girl has snacks stored in purse during elevator getting stuck which leads to a wedding date and then some ;-). But can they build a relationship after that?

did not enjoy this one at all, confusing chemistry, she deserves much better, they both need therapy and he probably needs anger management, the whole thing was just sex and anxiety, not what I'd call fluffy at all to be honest
Fun bit of candy. Easy read for someone who is just getting back into ready after a really, really long time. Works well as a palate cleanse.
Fun romance with a believable Black woman at the center. Predictable, but sometimes that’s enjoyable. It moved fast, and I was rooting for them the whole way.
