The Traitor Queen: From the No.1 Sunday Times bestselling author of A Fate Inked in Blood (The Bridge Kingdom Book 2)

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • “An epic, action-packed tale of love, revenge, and betrayal.”—Jennifer Estep, author of Kill the Queen

In the second novel of the heart-pounding Bridge Kingdom series, one woman fights to win back her throne, her people, and the love of the man she’s betrayed—from the New York Times bestselling author of A Fate Inked in Blood.

A queen now in exile as a traitor, Lara has watched as Ithicana is conquered by her own father, helpless to do anything to stop the destruction. But when she learns her husband, Aren, has been captured in battle, Lara knows there is only one reason her father is keeping him alive: as bait for his traitorous daughter.

And it is bait she fully intends to take.

Risking her life on the Tempest Seas, Lara returns to Ithicana with a plan not only to free its king but to liberate the Bridge Kingdom from her father’s clutches, using his own weapons: the sisters whose lives she spared. Yet not only is the palace inescapable, there are more players in the game than Lara ever realized: enemies and allies switching sides in the fight for crowns, kingdoms, and bridges. But her greatest adversary of all might be the man she’s trying to free—the husband she betrayed.

With everything she loves in jeopardy, Lara must decide who—and what—she is fighting for: her kingdom, her husband, or herself.

YES! Return of badass Laura. I’m so SO glad she was finally able to be her trained warrior self in this book. Some of the moments between her and Aren made my heart physically hurt. Watching the others slowly accept her back into the fold was awesome and I loved getting to have more of her sisters in the mix. I would read a stand alone book of just them tbh.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked it even more than The Bridge Kingdom. I have picked up the rest in the series, and am excited to see how the world progresses. Definitely worth a read, especially if you liked The Bridge Kingdom or any of Danielle L. Jensen's books. Spice: 🌶️

I loved this book even more than the first!
I was much more invested in Lara and Aren’s story and loved all of the new characters that were introduced and the ones who returned.
I can see where some of the sequel duologies are going to focus for their plots, so I am excited to continue reading this series!

I only gave this 7 stars because I felt this book was predictable. Banish the queen (hence traitor queen), go through some hard stuff, and then she saves the day and the king takes her back! The live happilv ever after! The action scenes saved this book! They were filled with great combat! Overall, I give 7 stars!
