Thomas was sure that escape from the Maze would mean freedom for him and the Gladers. But WICKED isn't done yet. Phase Two has just begun. The Scorch.
The Gladers have two weeks to cross through the Scorch--the most burned-out section of the world. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.
There are others now. Their survival depends on the Gladers' destruction--and they're determined to survive.
Friendships will be tested. Loyalties will be broken. All bets are off.

The Maze Runner and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Maze Runner: The Death Cure are all now major motion pictures featuring the star of MTV's Teen Wolf, Dylan O'Brien; Kaya Scodelario; Aml Ameen; Will Poulter; and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.

Similarly, to the first book the ideas and world are extremely engaging, but the treatment of women continues to be a problem. Every women’s obsession and insistence on throwing themselves at Thomas is more like an Incel’s greatest dream, and less like anything that could happen in any world. The Glader’s use of made-up slang words continues to be a grating was of skirting around swearing in a children’s book. The death in the book has little impact, and is thrown at the readers to try and get a reaction without giving them any reason to care about the dead other than the fact that Thomas talked to them one time that we didn’t get to read. The amount of times Thomas passes would be comical if there weren’t so many other things dragging the book down along with it. The characters continuously refuse to answer each other’s minor questions, or push them off to a latter time in the most mind-numbing way. It can’t be considered an example of the miscommunication troupe since it has no effect on the plot. The refusal to take five seconds to explain terms to each other, and the insistence of never explaining anything while on the move is so prevalent one would not be amiss to assume it would be significant at some point in the book. The characters sit in an excruciating midpoint of not trusting WICKED, but also not doing anything about it. In most dystopian storied the characters have some plan to confront their evil overloads, but Thomas just dose whatever they tell him to do and think about how much he doesn’t like them. It makes it feel like nothing is happening, and things are only revolving around him.

Predictable. The movie was better.

Great book! Really keeps you guessing, the twists and turns are fantastic. There were some fairly scary horror type scenes in it too - the "hello noses!" scene was terrifying :L At this point I pretty much trust no one, not even Thomas. I can't wait to read The Death Cure, but it's not out for another 3 months here :( Oh well, if it's half as good as this one it'll be worth the wait.

1. I would say that this book was almost as good as the first Maze Runner but it was still a good one because we get a whole new setting and a new story of the series. 2.This book is the continuation of the first book, when they escape the maze they figure out that there is a deadly virus all over the world. 3.In the main character change through out the book by7 becoming more of a leader than before. 4. I would recommend this book to summon who likes the Maze runner series and likes zombie apocalypses.
