The Re-Write: A Novel

In this lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers rom-com, two exes are faced with one deadline. Will they make it to the end?

Temi and Wale meet in London. They flirt, date, meet each other's friends.

Then they break up. And Wale goes on a reality dating show.

Instead of giving in to heartbreak, Temi throws herself into her dream: writing. She's within touching distance of a book deal that would solve all her problems. But publishers keep passing on her novel and bills still have to be paid. So, when the opportunity to ghost-write a celebrity memoir arises, Temi accepts.

And, of course, the celebrity turns out to be Wale...

Will Temi and Wale repeat the patterns of their past? Or can they write a whole new story?

Lovers to enemies to lovers, and literally everything in between. I’m not sure what Temi saw in Wale, other than his muscles and good looks. Both of their personalities were infuriating. She lied too much and he went back and forth too fast between almost charming to mistrust and back to hot mister good guy. I did like that Temi was a writer; I enjoy books about writing. 3⭐️ Book #24 in 2026

I enjoyed her novel Yinka Where Is Your Huzband so I looked forward to this one I love a good will they or won't they but I find myself saying get on with it 😂 I found myself saying Temi it's not that serious just tell the truth lol…I really liked Wale great love interest with layers…I listened to this book and the narrator did an amazing job she changed her tone and did a great job voicing various characters.

When I saw this was written by the same author who wrote“Yinka”, I had to bump it up my tbr! The Re-Write is a second chance, book about books romance. Temi has the opportunity to ghost write a celebrity memoir for some big star. She’s in for a shock when she learns that the big star is her ex, Wale, who was recently on a reality dating show. I liked the journey of Temi spending more time with Wale to know him on a deeper story and craft a story with heart. The romance, however, was mid. Between Temi’s nonstop lies and Wale’s nonchalant demeanor I just couldn’t believe in it. It was still a cutesy story, great narration with lots of emotion!! Thanks @prhaudio for my gifted copy! 🎁
