The Perfect Son: A gripping psychological thriller with a breathtaking twist

This one redeemed Freida for me. After the last few I read I was ready to give up. I saw the twist coming a mile away, but the book itself had more substance than usual.

Não houve surpresas nem reviravoltas inesperadas para mim. Porém é viciante e perturbador, acredito que para uma mãe o seja ainda mais. Por ser descrito por uma pessoa completamente normal esperaria que até fosse mais aborrecido

This was a pretty good hook! Definitely addicting. Crappy plot, crappy character development, but so what? It’s good, read it!

Received this as a hand-me-down book from a friend. Also discovered it was available as part of my Audible subscription (potential red flag). Listened to a couple chapters, but mostly read this one.

It was a page turner - and a fast read once I sat down to read it. I wanted to know how it turned out. BUT, it was awfully predictable. I've read a number of this author's books, and generally enjoyed them. This one tried so hard to get the reader to believe one person was guilty - you just knew it couldn't possibly be that person (what kind of horrible book would lead you directly to the culprit from page 1?) ... and I had a few possibilities in mind - top of my list was the real culprit. (I'm not usually very good at predicting the twists.) The characters were all so stereotypical, too ... I think I would have been upset had I paid for this book. This author definitely has better options out there!

Loved it. That was a major twist I didn’t see coming. I need to read more works by this author
