Such a smart and delightful read! Although not my first time enjoying what fans say is one of Dame Agatha's most witty plots with its clever and inventive narrative style - it is however, Poirot's ingenious ability to outmanoeuvre the murderer with his tried and tested methodology while cunningly remaining his confidant that pulls me in every time! A definite must-read for all fans of the mystery genre - :)

I loved and hated this book. I loved it because I love Agatha. I hate it because I hate who the murderer was! I will not spoil the ending for anyone who may not have finished or read this work yet, but I will say that I grew rather fond of the person who ended up being the murderer and I was truly hoping that it wasn't them.

I usually try to write a longer review of books, but at this time I do not feel like I can write a spoiler free review without accidently letting something slip. I'm still reeling from the reveal. Agatha was truly a master of her craft.
