A very satisfying read! A group of misfits within a small community come together to form a friendship and solve three murders. The ending was partly predictable but left me with a smile on my face as the absurdity of the situation was quite hilarious. It was a quick and easy read that makes me wish I had some kick butt old ladies in my town to solve murders better than the police can! I recommend this book as a reprieve from the heavier novels we all tend to read.

If I knew I was going to get murdered, the last thing I’d do is entertain the killer by not calling the police. Judith had no one to blame but herself in her confrontation with the killer. If she had contacted the police prior to the home invasion, she wouldn’t have been scrambling to give herself a few more moments to live.

If I knew I could not swim, the last thing I would do is jump into River Thames… in the middle of a storm… to risk drowning. And don’t get me started on the dog saving her. I have so so so many questions about that.

I loved this cozy little mystery. The characters were well written and the mystery was good enough i didn't guess it, which is rare with mysteries.

Narrator for audible was fantastic.
