I love the style of this book. It's meandering. There's no rush. It tells the story in its own time. It feels timeless, like Merlin himself. I am very attached now to these characters and this story. This particular installment made me quite sad, and I really can't imagine what's coming next in the final chapter. I mean, I know the legend, but it feels wrapped up now to me. There's a part of me that doesn't even want to read the last book, because this feels so final. But I'll still read it. Sigh. At least it will be enjoyable reading, even if I'll be even sadder, probably.
