The Iron Daughter

From the limitless imagination of New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julie Kagawa, return to the world of The Iron Fey.

Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner of the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron Fey--ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.

Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

Loved this book! It was so good. I have been in a reading slump lately, actually for a really long time, but this book has brought me me out of it. I finished it in three days! Yay!
I loved the interaction between the characters in this book, especially with a certain someone (trying not to spoil anything here!). This person definitely had their funny moments, and even serious ones. I was crying one moment and laughing out loud the next <-and I'm not kidding, I really was!
I love the world Kagawa has created here in this series. It's very three-dimensional and I can picture everything clearly in my head. I especially like it when there are encounters with new characters and new fey creatures/beings that I've never heard of before. This second installment introduces quite a few new characters, but there are still the same friendly faces in there.
If you've read the first book in the series (Iron Fey) then you should definitely pick up this second one! It was such a great read and I can't wait until the third installment comin' in February!
