4/10 stars
This book was just ok (2.5), more of a beach read but it did have a twist at the end that I didn't see coming so that's what the 1/2 star is for. Alice has a great life; perfect second husband, successful business and two children. Then her husband, Nathan, starts acting odd and Alice begins to question her perfect life. She confides in her best friend, Beth, but Beth has her own past secrets that even Alice doesn't know about. Both women are so naïve. I couldn't believe the ridiculous things they believed and fell for. Was Alice's first mistake believing in her best friend or trusting her new husband? When those two worlds finally collide, there is still a big surprise/twist coming.

I was looking for a different book from this author and found this one instead. Hope the one I really wanted is better.
