Just yesterday I have seen that my friend Sam is ready to start reading this book and her stories were so amazing that I downloaded the book right away and startes reading it. So this read was a short little buddy read with my girl Sam, and I am soo glad we did this. Now let's continu with my review of thw book. ** 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙁𝙊𝙇𝙇𝙊𝙒𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙍𝙀𝙑𝙄𝙀𝙒 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙏𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙎 𝙎𝙋𝙊𝙄𝙇𝙀𝙍𝙎 ** 𝘾𝙒𝙎: domestic abuse, murde, human/non human sex, size difference, explicit sex, breeding, light choking, injuries for blood magic, small incidental injuries, pregnancy, birth This story is a Beauty and the Beast retelling, but with a dragon man who isn’t cursed, and a human woman who makes a demon deal to escape a dangerous and abusive marriage. Let's talk about Sol, oooh sweet Sol, and the fact that he has two..ummm..🍆. WOW!!! Thats was something else. I DID NOT expect that at all. The whole Chapter 13 was....🥵🥵. The first time where things start heating up between Sol and Briar, I was like "Wow, ok!! So THAT is how things are gonna go. Ooook.” The description of how sexy time will be is something else. I mean, look at this.... “Fine, Briar. Would you like to know how sex would work with us? I’m not interested in splitting you in half, so I’ll rip off whatever charming little dress you’re wearing with my teeth and then taste you until you’re riding my tongue and begging for more. Then, if I’m feeling particularly generous, I’ll give you both my c*cks, one at a time.” I meannn!!! COOOOME ON!!! I absolutely loved both of these characters so much! Katee handled Briar's past trauma so nicely and I found myself rooting for her at every turn she took as she was founding her confidence with Sol. The world building was amazing and, even tho this is a shorter book with only 185 pages, it didn't feel like it was missing anything. I'm very much so eager to dive into book 2 to learn about the kraken and his realm. Book 2 in the series can't come soon enough (if you ask me). I wasn't sure how a seven year story was going to fit into such a short book, but it was beautifuly done with a nice little epilogue to wrap things up. Love it!! This book is perfect for those readers who like monster romance, high heat, and a whole bunch of crazy (unexpected) things happening.
