Wicked Beauty (Dark Olympus, 3)

She was the face that launched a thousand ships, the fierce beauty at the heart of Olympus...and she was never ours to claim.

*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus that's as sinful as it is sweet.*

In Olympus, you either have the power to rule...or you are ruled. Achilles Kallis may have been born with nothing, but as a child he vowed he would claw his way into the poisonous city's inner circle. Now that a coveted role has opened to anyone with the strength to claim it, he and his partner, Patroclus Fotos, plan to compete and double their odds of winning.

Neither expect infamous beauty Helen Kasios to be part of the prize...or for the complicated fire that burns the moment she looks their way.

Zeus may have decided Helen is his to give to away, but she has her own plans. She enters into the competition as a middle finger to the meddling Thirteen rulers, effectively vying for her own hand in marriage. Unfortunately, there are those who would rather see her dead than lead the city. The only people she can trust are the ones she can't keep her hands off--Achilles and Patroclus. But can she really believe they have her best interests at heart when every stolen kiss is a battlefield?

Summary: Helen is done being a pawn in Zeus's schemes. She craves freedom—and she wants it now. When a competition is announced to determine the next Ares, warriors line up, eager to conquer their rivals and claim the ultimate prize. But Helen has a plan of her own. She enters the contest, determined to forge her own fate. Will she emerge victorious and seize the mantle of Ares, or will she be forced to bend to Zeus's will once more? Review: This book felt more like a merry-go-round when it came to the plot. While the dynamics between Achilles, Patroclus, and Helen were predictable, the one thing that kept me guessing was who would become the next Ares. Team Atalanta (No Lie - I was smitten). This ties (Ending Drama) into the plot shenanigans, as the ending was fairly predictable. The outcome, especially regarding the lovers, was easy to anticipate. However, it did wrap everything up neatly. I would invite Atalanta to my dinner party and shove Paris in cement really. Does he truly deserve to be in a room of angry trash pandas? I don't think so. I three stared this one, as this series is seprate love stories within Olympus. If you are going through the series, then you have to read it. Each story is combined and the drama continues onto the next book.

Not my favorite in the series but I loved the perspectives from all three of the main characters! Also the spice was of course spicy!

3rd in the series and still oh so good! Loved the balance between plot and spice! Definitely 🌶 🌶 🌶!! Loved the drama between the main characters and how they kept the drama, even during spicy scenes.

This is such a great addition to the series! I loved the introduction of a polyamory, and the character development was on point - I really fell in love with Helen, Achilles and Patroclus. I also liked how to win the seat of Ares there is a tournament, and how the characters had to overcome those tasks I think was incredibly well written.
