I went into this with very low expectations just due to the nature of the genre and it being the second book. However, I really enjoyed it! It was a great book to read during my wedding week too. Very minimal stress and no triggers, so I was still able to enjoy reading. So it did exactly what I wanted and I found it very cute and relaxing to read.

Looking for wintery rom-com vibes? This book delivers in the most delightful way! Kira’s journey to leave everything behind and create her dream homestead was so relatable—and yes, call me cliché, but I loved every second of it. Her grumpy, Scrooge-like demeanor added just the right touch of sass without being overbearing, which fit perfectly with the festive Christmas setting. And then there’s Bennett… 😍 I didn’t think anyone could rival Noah from The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore, but Bennett? What a charming surprise! He’s a total swoon-worthy addition to this series. Oh, and Laurie Gilmore—you’re officially the queen of leaving us hanging! Those little glimpses of Annie and Mac have me counting down the days until The Ginger Bread Bakery releases. If you’re new to the series, definitely start with The Pumpkin Spice Cafe. One of my favorite things about this series is the warm sense of community woven into every story. Highly recommend for anyone craving a feel-good, festive romance!
