The Choice

By Nicholas Sparks

Opposites attract in this moving #1 New York Times bestseller about love lost and found between a medical student and the man who captures her heart.

Travis Parker has everything he could want: a good job, loyal friends, even a waterfront home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life--boating, swimming, and regular barbecues with his good-natured buddies--he holds the vague conviction that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is, until Gabby Holland moves in next door.

Despite his attempts to be neighborly, Gabby seems to have a chip on her shoulder about Travis . . . and the presence of her longtime boyfriend doesn't help. Nevertheless, Travis finds himself drawn to his new neighbor, and his efforts to become closer with her lead them both to the doorstep of a journey that neither could have foreseen.

Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage, and family, The Choice ultimately confronts us with the most heart-wrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

For a Nicholas spark book this was slow, dragging and I just wanted to get this over with. Now that is not what I read a Nicholas sparks for.

Travis Parker has everything and lives in a small town in NC. He feels a relationship would cramp his style. Gabby Holland moves in next door. All of Travis' attempts to be neighborly are rebuffed. He finally wears her down and they begin a journey neither had foreseen. Very Nicholas Sparks

Couldn't get enough of this book. I read it in a day because I couldn't put the book down. I was not expecting "the choice" to be nothing what you would think it would have been, so it definitely was a teary-eyed book for sure, but loved the little twist it had within it and how the book kept pulling you in as it continued.
