Two sisters on holiday in Fiji should have been the trip of a lifetime. But when a fight leads to one sister missing the flight and the other one nowhere to be found, this dream holiday quickly turns into a nightmare.
The exotic atmosphere and dual timeline POV had me engaged from the beginning. As the plot was building I was constructing all of these narratives in my mind. When the twists came I found some of my theories to be on the mark, but also a little disappointment when it didn't turn out to be quite as complex as I had imagined.
Overall, The Castaways was an entertaining read and I look forward to watching the series adaptation on Paramount+.
