Tell No One: A Novel

“A compelling and original suspense thriller.”—Los Angeles Times
“Harlan Coben is the modern master of the hook-and-twist.”—Dan Brown
For Dr. David Beck, the loss was shattering. And every day for the past eight years, he has relived the horror of what happened. The gleaming lake. The pale moonlight. The piercing screams. The night his wife was taken. The last night he saw her alive.
Everyone tells him it’s time to move on, to forget the past once and for all. But for David Beck, there can be no closure. A message has appeared on his computer, a phrase only he and his dead wife know. Suddenly Beck is taunted with the impossible—that somewhere, somehow, his wife is alive . . . and he’s been warned to tell no one.

This was very fast-paced, lots of characters, and some jumping around from scene to scene and present to past. It was the type of book that I had to re-read a few pages in the morning to make sure my brain actually caught everything I had read in bed the night before. I found it a little too overcomplicated plot-wise but it was a page turner.
This book kept me interested with each turn of the page. I enjoy Harlan Coben from series after series on Netflix. I picked this for our book club based on how intriguing his stories are. We all liked it very much! 10 out of 10!
Loved this book! So many twists and turns, excellent character development. I was invested in finding out who did what, who was introduced and how they fit into the story and had to listen to the last couple chapters twice to be sure I didn’t miss anything!
I loved the writing, plot was very interesting but the last few chapters had so many twist and turns it was hard to follow! Also the black and Asian characters are very stereotypical which I didn’t like! No depth to them and was very clear it was written from a white man perspective who probably never talked to a black person more than saying hoowdy 😂
This was my first Harlan Coben book. Not sure how I feel about it. I think I’d rate higher, but the motivations of the main characters seemed random. And the couple at the center of this story seemed weirdly one-dimensional and disconnected, even though they have supposedly been soulmates their entire lives. Very twisty-turny. A lot happening at once, as the plot comes to a head. But I lost interest, the more convoluted it became. I may need to read another story by this author, before I draw further conclusions. He certainly has a huge fan base.
