After reading a heavy WWII novel I was looking for a quick, satisfying mystery so I reached for a Harlan Coben book. This one did not disappoint. Several interesting plot twists and a very interesting main character.
This is my 4th Harlan Cohen book I've read (the stranger, stay close, the innocent). I've not enjoyed all of his books. In a regretful moment of craziness during the pandemic, I think I purchased about 10-15 of his books with the knowledge that they would be on Netflix. And this book was amongst them.
I liked this one. This book didn't fully follow his formulaic plot/characters, which was great. Though ya still had to throw in a strip club in there, didn't ya Harlen? Like how strong Maya was. Enjoyed the twists and turns. This was a quick and easy read. Look forward to watching it on Netflix.
